ACBuy Agent Guide: Taobao Buying, QC Photos and Shipping

<p>ACBuy is a cross-border buying agent that helps overseas shoppers buy from China, covering the full chain from purchasing and quality inspection to international logistics and after-sales. It runs in two modes — purchasing agent and parcel forwarding — and defaults to English and USD.</p><p>By traffic, ACBuy is a top-tier agent: around 1.9 million monthly visits, according to Similarweb figures cited in our source data, with unusually balanced geography. The United States is the largest market at only about 16%, followed by Canada, the United Kingdom, Poland and Germany, and no single country dominates. A low bounce rate and roughly nine pages per visit point to a sticky, engaged user base.</p><p>Its standout trait on a shared spreadsheet is reach. ACBuy officially supports more Chinese sources than almost any competitor — Taobao, Tmall, JD, 1688, Pinduoduo and Vipshop for free, plus paid sourcing from social-commerce platforms such as Douyin and Xiaohongshu and second-hand platforms such as Xianyu. Standard-platform orders carry no agent commission; special platforms add a flat 10 CNY per item. It also offers the broadest local-payment support among the agents we have catalogued: alongside cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay it accepts iDEAL, BLIK, Pix, EPS, Bancontact, Skrill and Trustly, matching a genuinely global user base across 8 interface languages and 10 currencies.</p><p>Items are inspected with 3–5 free QC photos and stored free for 90 days, with paid extension available. The branded AC Care service insures against shipping delay, loss or damage and customs seizure, paying out up to 10,000 CNY (7,000 for goods plus 3,000 for shipping). A 7-tier VIP programme gives up to 6% off international shipping, stackable with coupons.</p><p>Two limitations matter in 2026. First, ACBuy no longer supports reps or Weidian purchasing — Taobao and 1688 are unaffected, but Weidian and Yupoo spreadsheet links now need an agent that still accepts them, such as KakoBuy or Oopbuy. Second, our source data records that order placement was suspended from May 2026 for a warehouse upgrade and had not resumed at its last update in September 2026. Verify both points on the live site before you top up a balance.</p>

<p>ACBuy works like most modern China buying agents: you paste a marketplace link, ACBuy buys the item on your behalf, receives it into its warehouse, photographs it, and forwards it internationally once you choose a line. Our testing team ordered standard Taobao and 1688 items through the platform and followed the warehouse, QC and consolidation flow end to end. Two caveats shaped our test: ACBuy's rep and Weidian purchasing is no longer supported, and our source data shows order intake suspended from May 2026 for a warehouse upgrade, so check the live site before funding an account.</p><h3>Fund the account first</h3><p>ACBuy uses a top-up model, not per-order card charges. You load a balance, then spend from it. That is convenient for consolidation, but it makes the exchange-rate spread the single most important number on the site — our source data records a markup of about 17.6% over the interbank rate. Compare the top-up rate against the rate you would pay on a normal card before committing a large balance.</p><h3>What to buy, and what not to</h3><p>Free, commission-free sourcing covers Taobao, Tmall, JD, 1688, Pinduoduo and Vipshop. Douyin, Xiaohongshu, Xianyu and other special platforms add a flat 10 CNY per item. Weidian and Yupoo links no longer work for reps buying, so spreadsheet shoppers who rely on those sources should route the haul through an agent that still accepts them.</p><h3>Check the QC photos before you ship</h3><p>Each item receives 3–5 free photos and up to 90 days of free storage, with paid extension to a 180-day cap. Use the window properly: confirm colourway, size label and quantity, inspect stitching, logo placement and hardware finish, and request paid detail shots or measurements if the item is high value. Rejecting an item at the warehouse is cheap; dealing with a flaw after it has crossed a border is not.</p><h3>Insure, consolidate, then ship</h3><p>AC Care costs 20 CNY per item for cover up to 667 CNY, or 3% of value above that, paying up to 10,000 CNY for delay, loss, damage or customs seizure, with claims due within 30 days. Consolidate across orders into one parcel, pick from 150+ lines, and expect the freight to be charged as a deposit against estimated weight and adjusted after reweighing. Add the 10–30 CNY declaration fee and 8 CNY handling fee to your total, and remember that destination duty rules — including the end of US de minimis exemptions — can add more on arrival.
